The HHC Center for Health Equity offers a deep understanding of the factors that enhance the health of all people and uses qualitative and quantitative data to develop comprehensive, accessible interventions that improve the health status and outcomes of all we serve.
Our success grows from two, interrelated domains:
Health Equity – Provides expertise to analyze and address disparate health experiences across populations and within our health system. We support and encourage efforts to improve health experiences and quality for all through policy development, program and service improvements, research and analysis and other actions that help achieve health equity.
Community Health and Engagement – Through community-based partnerships, direct service and support, advocacy, data collection and analysis and business practice reforms, this team works to promote health and improve health outcomes for all. Working with individuals and organizations, we proactively assess needs and learn from community experience and expertise to build trust and achieve health equity across the communities we serve.
When the expertise of Health Equity and Community Health and Engagement are integrated, we can build and improve systems, services and practices that enable all people to live their healthiest lives.
